How to File a Claim
We’re here to help if you need it.
Claims are handled directly by your insurance carrier, as they are the ones responsible for reviewing, approving, and paying claims based on your policy.
While we don't make claim decisions, our team is here to support you every step of the way — whether that's helping you understand the process or answering questions along the way. Our goal is to make sure you feel confident in what to do next, without navigating it alone.
Filing a claim is simple and can be done online or by phone through Travel Insured International.
Start your claim here
Step 1: Report Your Cancellation or Interruption If you need to cancel or interrupt your trip, notify your travel supplier and Travel Insured International as soon as possible — within 20 days of the loss event when reasonably possible. Early reporting helps avoid non-covered charges due to late notification.
Step 2: Gather Supporting Documents You may be asked to provide documentation such as:
- Trip confirmations or receipts
- Medical records or physician statements
- Airline or travel supplier documentation
- Proof of delay, cancellation, or interruption
- Police reports (required for theft or accident-related claims)
- Any other documentation reasonably required to prove the loss
These documents help verify your claim and allow for a smoother review process.
Step 3: Submit Your Claim Submit your claim with all supporting documentation. Proof of loss must be provided within 90 days of the date of loss when reasonably possible.
Step 4: Receive Your Reimbursement Once your claim is reviewed and approved, reimbursement will be issued based on your policy coverage. Processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the claim.

14-Day Free Look Period
You have 14 days to review your policy and make sure it’s the right fit for your trip.
If the plan does not meet your needs, you may cancel your policy within this 14-day review period for a full refund - provided your trip has not started and no claim has been filed.
Important
After the 14-day review period, the policy becomes non-refundable.
This means refunds are not available once the review period has passed - even if your travel plans change after purchase.
If your plans do change, your coverage may be eligible to transfer to a new trip, depending on the situation. Our team is happy to help review your options.
Includes a free look (review period) so you can purchase with confidence and review your coverage after checkout.
