James P., Pennsylvania
Last year a close friend encountered a sudden medical need that prevented her trip to Europe, for which she had opted out of travel insurance and lost close to $12,000 prepaid for the trip. So, when planning my own upcoming European vacation, I made sure to take a look at travel insurance for the first time. Seeing that my AMAC membership offered travel insurance, I gave them a call and I'm very glad I did. Skyler Buttress, the professional and courteous consultant that handled my quote, was such a pleasure to work with, via both phone and email, answering all my questions and helping me find the right combination of travel interruption and emergency medical coverage for my upcoming trip. Of course, I hope that I won't ever need to use it, but based on my experience so far, I have great confidence that any claim will be handled just as professionally and competently.

How to File a Claim
The fastest and easiest way to file a claim is directly through the insurance carrier’s secure online claims portal.
Travel Insured International allows travelers to file a claim from anywhere — before your trip, while traveling, or after you return home.
Start your claim here
Step 1 — Start Your Claim
Use the “Start a Claim” button on the claims page and enter your travel and incident details.
It helps to have your confirmation of benefits or policy document available so you can accurately describe what happened.
Step 2 — Upload Supporting Documents
You may be asked to provide documentation that supports your claim, such as:
• Trip confirmations or receipts
• Medical records or physician statements
• Airline or travel supplier documentation
• Proof of trip delay or cancellation
These documents help verify what occurred and allow the claims team to review your case.
Step 3 — Track Your Claim
After submitting your claim, you will receive an email confirmation. You can return to the portal at any time to check the status of your claim or upload additional documents if requested.
Step 4 — Receive Your Reimbursement
Once the claim review is complete and the claim is approved, reimbursement will be issued based on the coverage outlined in your policy.
