Optional Upgrades
-
Customize your Safe Travels Protect coverage with the optional add-on available at the time of purchase.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment (24-Hour)
Adds $10,000 in Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage for a covered loss occurring while riding as a passenger on, boarding, or alighting from a common carrier during your covered trip. AD&D is not included in the Safe Travels Protect base plan and must be selected as an optional upgrade for an additional premium. Benefits are paid according to the policy's Table of Losses, with 100% of the principal sum payable for loss of life.
A note on Trip Cancellation: Trip Cancellation coverage is itself selectable at the time of quote. Travelers who want to protect prepaid, non-refundable trip costs can add it (up to 100% of trip cost, max $14,000) by selecting "Yes" for trip protection and entering their initial deposit date during the quote process.

Plan Documents
Review the full plan details, terms, conditions, and exclusions before you purchase:
- Plan Brochure — benefit summary and plan highlights
- State Certificates — full policy wording, including the Schedule of Benefits, definitions, coverages, and state-specific amendatory endorsements
The brochure provides a brief description of coverage; the policy and applicable state certificate contain the governing terms, including reductions, limitations, exclusions, and termination provisions. Because state amendatory endorsements can modify benefits and provisions, always confirm the certificate that applies to your state of residence.

If you are not satisfied with your plan, you may cancel within 14 days of the date your policy is purchased by giving written notice to Trawick International or the administrator. As long as you have not departed on your trip and have not filed a claim, your premium will be refunded in full.
After the free look period
After the 14-day free look, your premium is non-refundable, except in the following circumstances, in which case your premium will be refunded on a pro rata basis:
- The travel supplier cancels or changes the dates of your covered trip and all penalties are waived; or

Note: State amendatory endorsements may modify the free look or cancellation terms. Travelers should review the certificate that applies to their state of residence (for example, the Kansas endorsement measures the 14-day period from delivery of the policy).
