Plan Coverage Summary
The Pathway Premier plan is Trawick International's premium-tier trip cancellation and travel insurance plan for U.S. residents. It combines robust pre-departure trip protection with $200,000 in primary emergency medical coverage — all in a single plan. Coverage is available for trips up to 90 days. Coverage must be purchased before the traveler departs on the trip.

Trip Cancellation
Reimburses 100% of your prepaid, non-refundable, forfeited trip costs — up to $100,000 — if you are prevented from taking your covered trip due to a covered unforeseen event occurring before your departure. Covered events typically include:
- Accidental injury, illness, or death of you, a traveling companion, or an immediate family member
- Inclement weather or natural disaster making your destination uninhabitable
- Terrorist attack at your destination
- Airline or common carrier delay causing you to miss departure
- Jury duty or subpoena
- Military duty call-up
- Bankruptcy or default of a travel supplier
- Other covered unforeseen events listed in your state-specific certificate
Trip Interruption
If your trip is cut short after departure due to a covered reason, the plan reimburses up to 150% of your insured trip cost (maximum $150,000) — covering unused prepaid expenses plus the cost of last-minute transportation home.
Trip Delay
If you are delayed 6 or more hours en route to or from your trip due to a covered event (weather, carrier delay, traffic accident, stolen passport, hijacking, quarantine), the plan reimburses reasonable additional expenses (meals, accommodation, transportation) up to $2,000 total at $300/day on a one-time basis. Waiting periods and covered delay reasons may vary by state.
Missed Connection
If you miss your cruise or tour departure because all regularly scheduled airline flights were cancelled or delayed for 3 or more hours due to inclement weather, the plan pays up to $500 to cover the cost of catching up to your trip. Secondary to any carrier compensation.
Emergency Medical Coverage
- $200,000 primary emergency medical — covers medically necessary treatment for accidental injury or emergency sickness that first manifests during your covered trip; $0 deductible; pays first before your other health insurance
- Emergency dental — up to $750 for dental Necessary Treatment due to Accidental Injury to Sound Natural Teeth, subject to the certificate terms.
- Pre-Existing Condition Waiver — the pre-existing condition exclusion is waived when you purchase on or before your final trip payment date, insure the full non-refundable trip cost, and are medically able to travel on the effective date; 90-day lookback period applies
Emergency Medical Evacuation & Repatriation
- $1,000,000 Emergency Medical Evacuation — covers medically necessary emergency transportation to the nearest appropriate medical facility when local care is insufficient; must be recommended by the attending physician and pre-approved by the assistance company
- $1,000,000 Repatriation of Mortal Remains — covers covered expenses to return your body to the United States of America if death occurs during the trip, subject to the certificate terms.
Baggage & Belongings
- Baggage & Personal Effects — up to $2,000 ( $250 per article limit; $0 deductible) for covered loss, theft, or damage to baggage and personal effects during the trip, subject to the certificate terms.
- Baggage Delay — up to $500 ($100/day ) for necessary replacement of personal items when checked baggage is delayed or misdirected by a Common Carrier, subject to the waiting period shown in the applicable state certificate.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment
- $10,000 Principal Sum for 24-hour covered accidental death or dismemberment
- $25,000 Principal Sum for accidental death or dismemberment occurring while riding as a fare-paying passenger on a common carrier
Reinstate Frequent Traveler Awards
Up to $250 to cover fees to re-deposit frequent flyer miles or hotel rewards if your covered trip is cancelled or interrupted for a covered reason.
COVID-19
COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 are covered and treated the same as any other sickness under this plan.

Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR)
Reimburses 75% of your prepaid, non-refundable trip costs — up to $75,000 — if you cancel your trip for any reason not otherwise covered by the plan.
Requirements:
- Must be purchased within 21 days of the initial trip deposit date
- Full non-refundable trip cost must be insured
- Trip cost per person must be under $15,000
- MA and PA residents must purchase at least 60 days prior to scheduled departure
- Trip must be canceled no later than 48 hours before scheduled departure (confirm in your state certificate)
- Not available in NY; not available for travel to Israel
Interruption for Any Reason (IFAR)
Reimburses 75% of your insured trip cost — up to $50,000 — if you need to interrupt your trip for any reason not otherwise covered by the plan.

Adventure & Extreme Sports Medical Coverage
Extends emergency medical coverage to injuries sustained while participating in adventure sports and extreme sports activities that would otherwise be excluded from the base plan. Coverage applies up to the plan's medical maximum.

Rental Car Damage Coverage
Reimburses up to $50,000 for damage to or theft of a rental car during your covered trip.

How to File a Claim
Trawick International offers online claims administration through the MyTrawick member portal — the fastest and most convenient way to file and track your claim.
Step-by-step claims process:
- Log in to MyTrawick at mytrawick.com to file your claim online.
- Download the appropriate claim form at trawickinternational.com/claim-information/claim-forms/ if filing by mail.
- Gather supporting documentation relevant to your claim type:
- Trip Cancellation/Interruption: travel invoice, proof of payment, cancellation notices from travel suppliers, and documentation of the covered reason (physician statement, death certificate, weather reports, etc.)
- Medical claims: itemized bills and receipts from all treating providers, physician statements, and proof of payment
- Baggage claims: written report from the carrier confirming loss/theft/damage, police report if applicable, receipts for lost items
- Trip Delay claims: written confirmation from the carrier of the delay cause and duration, plus receipts for expenses incurred

14-Day Free Look Period
The Pathway Premier plan includes a Free Look period — you may cancel your policy and receive a full refund of premium provided no claim has been filed and you have not yet departed on your trip.
Free Look Period by state:
- 14 days — most states (date of purchase counts as Day 1)
- 10 days — Arkansas, Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, New York, Washington
- 15 days — Texas
- 21 days — Florida
- 30 days — Idaho, Indiana
After the Free Look period expires: You may only cancel for a pro-rata refund if all of the following are true:
- Your travel supplier has cancelled the entire trip
- Your trip has not yet started
- No claims have been filed and you do not intend to file a claim
If travel has already started, the premium is fully non-refundable.
