Key Benefits
Trip Cancellation
Reimburses 100% of your prepaid, non-refundable, forfeited trip costs — up to $25,000 — if you are prevented from taking your covered trip before departure due to a covered unforeseen event. Covered events typically include:
- Accidental injury, illness, or death of you, a traveling companion, or an immediate family member
- Unannounced strike
- Terrorist attack
- Weather causing complete cessation of all flights
- Other covered unforeseen events listed in your state-specific certificate
Covers airline ticket cost, reissue fees, and non-refundable airfare cancellation charges for flights joining or departing your land/sea arrangements. Refer to your state certificate for the complete list of covered events and exclusions.
Trip Interruption
If your trip is cut short after departure due to a covered reason — such as sickness, accidental injury, death of a traveling companion, strike, terrorist attack, mandatory evacuation, or severe weather — the plan reimburses up to 100% of your insured trip cost (maximum $25,000) for unused prepaid expenses plus additional transportation costs home.
Trip Delay
If you are delayed 12 or more hours en route to or from your trip due to a covered hazard (carrier delay, traffic accident, weather, lost or stolen passports, quarantine, hijacking, natural disaster, civil unrest), the plan reimburses reasonable additional expenses up to $600 total at $150/day on a one-time basis.
Missed Connection
If you miss your cruise or tour departure because all regularly scheduled airline flights were cancelled or delayed for 6 or more hours due to inclement weather, the plan pays up to $300 for additional transportation expenses, reasonable daily expenses, and unused prepaid trip costs. Secondary to any carrier compensation.
Emergency Medical Coverage
- $25,000 primary emergency medical — covers medically necessary treatment for accidental injury or emergency sickness that first manifests during your covered trip; $100 deductible; pays first before your other health insurance
- Emergency dental — up to $250 for dental expense resulting from a covered accident or emergency
- Note: This plan does not include a Pre-Existing Medical Condition Exclusion Waiver — pre-existing conditions are excluded
Emergency Medical Evacuation & Repatriation
- $250,000 Emergency Medical Evacuation — covers medically necessary emergency transportation to the nearest appropriate medical facility when local care is insufficient; must be required by the attending physician and the assistance company; must use the most direct and economical route; all evacuations must be arranged and authorized in advance by the Assistance Company
- $250,000 Repatriation of Mortal Remains — covers return of remains to your primary residence in the event of death during the covered trip
Baggage & Belongings
- Baggage & Personal Effects — up to $500 (primary coverage; $100 per article limit; $0 deductible) for loss, theft, or damage to baggage while checked with a common carrier during your trip
- Baggage Delay — up to $250 ($75/day; secondary coverage) for necessary replacement of personal items when checked baggage is delayed or misdirected for 24+ hours

COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 are covered and treated the same as any other sickness under this plan.
