Plan Coverage Summary
The Allianz Annual Executive Plan protects all trips taken within a 12-month policy period. You choose a per-person annual trip cancellation limit - $5,000, $7,500, or $10,000 - and all other benefits apply on a per-trip basis, resetting with each new trip you take.
Benefits vary by plan. These are brief descriptions — please read your plan documents for details. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply, including for pre-existing medical conditions. Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption draw from your shared annual limit. All other benefits reset each trip. Medical benefits are secondary to other valid coverage. Plans only available to U.S. residents and may not be available in all jurisdictions.
How This Plan Works
Unlike single-trip plans, the Allianz Annual Executive Plan covers all of your trips within a 12-month period under one policy. Here is how it works:
1. Choose Your Annual Cancellation Limit
When you purchase, you select a per-person annual trip cancellation limit — $5,000, $7,500, or $10,000. This acts as a shared bucket you can draw from across all trips taken during your 12-month policy year.
2. Cancel a Trip - Your Bucket Is Reduced
If you cancel a trip for a covered reason, the reimbursed amount is deducted from your annual limit. The remaining balance stays available for future trips throughout your policy year.
3. All Other Benefits Reset Each Trip
Benefits like Travel Delay, Baggage, Emergency Medical, and Emergency Medical Transportation apply on a per-trip basis — they renew in full with every new trip you take during the year.
4. Renew Each Year
We will send you a renewal reminder before your policy lapses so you can choose to renew for another 12 months if you are still planning to travel.
Key Benefits
Per-Trip Benefits Reset Each Trip
Trip Cancellation
Reimburses your prepaid, non-refundable travel expenses if you need to cancel your trip due to a covered reason, such as you, a family member, or traveling companion experiencing a covered illness or injury.
- A doctor says you or a traveling companion is too sick to fly
- Your parent or child requires hospitalization
- A storm shuts down your airport for 24 hours or more
Trip Interruption
Reimburses unused, non-refundable travel expenses and increased transportation costs if you have to return home early due to a covered reason — for instance, when a family member has a qualifying medical emergency and needs your care.
- You have a covered illness or injury and a doctor says you must return home
- A covered emergency, like a fire or flood, makes your home uninhabitable
Travel Delay
Reimburses eligible meals, accommodations, and transportation expenses when your trip is delayed for a covered reason and meets the minimum threshold listed in your plan documents. Up to $1,600 per trip.
Emergency Medical and Dental Care
Reimburses expenses related to covered medical and dental emergencies that occur on your trip. Especially helpful outside the United States, as most domestic health insurance policies will not cover you abroad. Up to $50,000 per trip.
- You slip and break your ankle while sightseeing
- You get food poisoning while sampling the local cuisine
- You lose a filling and need immediate dental treatment
Emergency Medical Transportation
Arranges and pays for medically necessary transportation following a covered injury or illness to the nearest appropriate medical facility to receive care, and gets you home after treatment. Up to $250,000 per trip.
Baggage Loss, Damage, or Theft
Reimburses the replacement of your lost, damaged, or stolen luggage and personal items while traveling. Up to $1,000 per trip. Baggage delay covers essential items purchased if your baggage is delayed 12 hours or more, up to $1,000.
Rental Car Damage & Theft
Provides up to $45,000 in coverage for damage to or theft of a rental car during your trip.
Change Fee / Loyalty Program Redeposit
Reimburses fees if you need to change your flight itinerary or redeposit loyalty miles due to a covered reason. Up to $500 per trip.
Business Equipment Coverage
Covers up to $1,000 for business equipment that is lost, stolen, or damaged during your trip — especially useful for frequent business travelers.
Travel Accident
Provides up to $50,000 in accidental death and dismemberment coverage while traveling.
Benefits vary by plan and these are brief descriptions. Please read your plan documents for details. Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply including for pre-existing medical conditions.

Important Coverage Notes
Pre-Existing Condition Waiver
To be eligible for a time-sensitive waiver of pre-existing medical condition exclusions, you must purchase your plan within 14 days of your initial trip deposit. You must also be a U.S. resident at the time of purchase and have a trip already scheduled during the coverage period. Other purchase requirements and conditions apply — please review your plan documents for full details.
Medical Coverage is Secondary
Emergency medical and emergency medical transportation benefits are secondary to other valid coverage you may have — meaning they help pay what your primary health or travel insurance does not cover. This is standard for many annual travel plans.
Annual Cancellation Limit — Shared Across All Trips
Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption share one annual limit for the full 12-month policy period. Each claim reduces the remaining balance available for future trips. All other benefits — medical, delay, baggage, and more — are per-trip and reset with each new trip you take.
State Availability
This plan is available to U.S. residents in most states. It is not available in New York or Washington. Residents of those states will be placed on a state-specific alternative — contact us for the best options available for your state.
Our Promise to You — Free Look Period
When you purchase any Allianz Travel Insurance plan, you automatically get 15 days (or more, depending on your state of residence) to review your policy documents. Within that period, you can cancel your plan for a full refund if you are not satisfied — as long as you have not filed a claim or departed on your trip.
Renewal
We will send a renewal reminder before your policy lapses so you can choose whether to renew for another 12-month period if you are still planning to travel.
